After teasing the collaboration several months back, we have official word that this Air Force 1 with Virgil Abloh is a collaboration to celebrate the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The MoMA establishment has certainly paid tribute to the progression of fashion over the years, which makes makes the storytelling behind this release only that much more organic.
This edition features a black leather upper with a silver overlay on the Nike Swoosh, which also features a pronounced stitching on the outline. Additionally, this version also features the phrase 1Thology: The Air Force 1 as a nod to the heritage of basketball and its effects on society. Lastly, this offering comes complete with a co-branded Nike Elite sock with each purchase.
It is reported that the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 “MoMA” releases tomorrow at the MoMa.
