Virgil Abloh is one of the most copied men in fashion and sneakers. The latter, of course, stems from his collaborative collection with Nike, “The Ten,” which sent shock waves through the community in 2017. The final sneaker from that offering to release, Abloh’s Off White x Converse Chuck Taylor, take on an entire life of its own outside of the Nike releases.
That trend continues with its successor.
Teased first by Complex and subsequently today by @pyrates, leaked product images showcase the classic Chuck 70 design joined by Abloh’s signature factory-esque branding with imposing black and white midsole stripes. An orange zip-tie matches the shoe’s gleaming outsole, giving way to a potential Halloween theme matching that of the Chicago native’s impending Nike Blazer collaboration.
Although widely thought to release on Monday, October 8, neither party has confirmed details for the Off White x Converse Chuck 70. Stay tuned for additional info.
Update 10/3: The much anticipated Off White x Converse Chuck 70 will release on October 8 at select global stores and Converse flagships in Boston and Soho NYC. The shoe is priced at $130 USD. Take an additional look courtesy of official retailer Sneaker Politics.
