The Nike ZoomX Streakfly Is Built For Shorter Distance Races

Where to buy the Nike ZoomX Streakfly

Nike Running has unveiled the Nike ZoomX Streakfly, a new silhouette that’s built for those who run and train for shorter distance races such as 5Ks and 10Ks.

“We learned there was a bit of a gap in our racing line between what we offered for the full and half marathon, and what we offered for competition on the track. To better serve athletes who race and train on the roads for the 10k and 5k, we set out to develop a shoe that would still offer them a comfortable, lightweight, propulsive ride with more connection to the ground,” said Elliott Heath, Nike Running’s footwear product manager.

The ZoomX Streakfly features a full-length ZoomX foam with a Pebax plate in the midfoot for rigidity and responsiveness. Lightweight Engineered Mesh makes up the upper to give breathability to the sneaker with a rubber outsole featured on the forefoot.

The launch “Prototype” colorway is inspired by samples that wear testers are given during the development process with a serial number on the medial side of the midsole.

The Nike ZoomX Streakfly is scheduled to release on February 27th via and at select retailers for $160. Check out the official photos below and for all the latest drop dates, head over to our Sneaker Release Dates page.
