Constructed to be low to the ground and extremely responsive, the Nike Zoom Soldier III weighs in at a mere 13.7 ounces, the lightest basketball shoe Nike has delivered to LeBron James to date. It also features a mesh upper for lightweight breathability. Two synthetic-leather straps across the top of the mid-foot provide a stable, lock-down fit. The mid-sole is made up of Nike Zoom Air units in both the heel and forefoot. All of this rests a top of a solid rubber outsole that provides excellent traction and durability. The third installment of LeBron’s Soldier line made its appearance during the 2008-2009 NBA season as a sidekick to the LeBron VI.?The Zoom LeBron Soldier III XDR also appeared as an additional model of the Soldier. The XDR is designed for outside use, utilizing a different outsole than the standard model. Multiple limited editions appeared beyond a mix of standard colorways, including St. Vincent-St. Mary’s, Think Pink and Christ the King pack, and following the 2008-2009 NBA season, the Team colorways became available. |
