Nike continues its HBCU partnership through the Nike Yardrunners program with its fourth iteration. This year’s installment includes Los Angeles Clippers’ Robert Covington (Tennessee State University alum), Kayla White (Norther Carolina A&T University alum and USA Track and Field athlete), and others.
The rollout for this year’s Nike Yardrunners “Started The Yard” also includes HBCU grad and renowned sports personality Stephen A. Smith, Winston-Salem State University alum.
Additionally, the Nike Yardrunners “Started The Yard” collective will include a Nike Terminator collection for select partnering schools — Morehouse College, Spelman College, Tuskegee University, Tennessee State University, and Alabama A&M University. The collection will be available later this fall.
