On March 26, Nike will celebrate another Air Max Day, honoring the historic innovation and the 30th anniversary of the Air Max 1. The widely revered sneaker holiday will host a slew of new releases, rarities and the official launch of the much-anticipated Nike VaporMax.
Although Air began with the Tailwind back in 1979, Visible Air marked a turning point in the technology’s history. The Nike Air Max 1, now three decades old, will return in its OG colorway alongside other models like the Air Max 90 Ultra Flyknit, Air Max Jewell, Air Max LD-Zero, Air Max 1 “Master,” Air VaporMax, and the Air Max 1 “atmos,” which was voted in by the fans and originally a part of the “Zoo Pack” back in 2006.
