Nike‘s .SWOOSH, the brand’s virtual creation platform, is set to release its first virtual collection with the “Our Force 1” drop.
The “Our Force 1” drop is broken up into two distinct digital “boxes” dedicated to the rich history of the Nike Air Force 1. The Classic Box features iconic AF1s from 1982 to 2006 while the New Wave Box touches on pairs from 2007 and on as well as a potential custom AF1. Both boxes included the co-created AF1s from the four .SWOOSH “Your Force 1” winners from this year.
On April 18, Nike will airdrop AF1 posters at random to .SWOOSH members on SWOOSH.Nike, giving those members first access to the OF1 sale — priced at $19.82 as a nod to the AF1. General access will take place on May 10 for the entire .SWOOSH community.
Each virtual creation will come paired with a 3D file that the owner can download and use to express. Down the road, .SWOOSH will introduce other new utilities and benefits to these unique Nike virtual creations, such as exclusive physical products or experiences as Nike will integrate web3 beyond the digital landscape.
The OF1 collection shows how Nike will continue to innovate at the intersection of play and culture for the future of sports.
