Along with the Space Hippie 01, Space Hippie 02, and Space Hippie 03, Nike’s highly-anticipated Space Hippie Collection will include the women’s exclusive Space Hippie 04 silhouette.
The game-changing Nike Space Hippie 04 is crafted from the company’s own “space junk” which includes scrap material from factory floors. The knit upper is dressed in light grey, whilst an orange Swoosh logo has been stitched into the sides. Rounding out the look is an aggressive sole embellished with speckles of factory scraps.
The second colorway option sees a dark tone of grey dressing the upper, which is then embellished with hi-vis yellow Swoosh logos and black laces.
“I’d say Space Hippie attacks the villain of trash,” says John Hoke, Nike Chief Design Officer. “It’s changed the way we look at materials, it’s changed the way that we look at the aesthetics of our product. It’s changed how we approach putting product together.”
The Nike Space Hippie Collection is set to release via SNKRS, Nike House of Innovation flagship location, and select retailers on June 11. However, the women’s exclusive Space Hippie 04 will release later this summer. Keep it locked here for an official date.
