Although originally set to open earlier this month, Nike SOHO will officially open its doors this weekend on November 18 the brand said in a statement today.
“We look forward to bringing New Yorker’s the best of Nike at our new Soho store,” a Nike spokesperson remarked. “We are pleased to announce the store will officially open to the general public at 12 p.m. this Friday, November 18.”
The store suffered a set back due to zoning issues, as the massive space exceeds the area’s 10,000 square-foot zoning limit for retailers. Many of the community members located in the general area were asking that the building’s developer get a special permit for the 55,000-square-foot, five-story store.
All the special products and exclusives mentioned here are still scheduled to drop this Friday. Nike SOHO is located at 529 Broadway in the heart of New York City’s shopping district.
