Following a look at the “Lakers” edition of the Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 earlier this week, another of the same volition has emerged within days. This one more subtle than its predecessor, combines simplistic white and black leather with unique SB tooling.
This theme appears to be of great importance to Nike and Jordan Brand this year; a sort of joining houses seen through a legendary in-house label and a hallmark sneaker design.
Hidden detailing includes wear-away Swoosh detailing that shifts shades with weathering. A hot pink insole is finished with forest green Nike SB script, breaking the color tradition seen through the monochromatic exterior. Most notably is the Nike SB tongue branding that replaces the famed Nike Air logo.
This Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 is rumored to release in April, although Jordan Brand has not yet confirmed any specifics. Stay tuned for more.
Update 3/14: Hypebeast provides a closer look at one of two upcoming Nike SB x Air Jordan 1s. The wear away upper on this pair is dressed in Light Bone and black. The shoe will release on May 25 at select retailers.
