Paul Rodriguez was the first person to receive his own sneaker from Nike SB, and now the Swoosh skater is already on his eight signature silhouette, the Nike SB P-Rod 8. Newly unveiled today, the P-Rod 8 is the first of its kind in its own right, with an appearance that is far from traditional when it comes to skate shoes. Our former Sneak Peek guest Paul Rodriguez grew up during the Michael Jordan era, and this new design continues to play off of the inspiration that Nike SB originally got from the Air Jordan 1. P-Rod’s line has continued to evolved like the Air Jordan line, and his latest integrates in new technology that is not normally seen in skateboarding. 360 degrees of Nike Lunarlon for cushioning, a Hyperscreen+ traction layer for durability, and dynamic Flywire cables for an adaptive fit are all Nike Basketball staples, now utilized for a run on the ramps. Check out detailed images of the Nike SB P-Rod 8 and get a video preview from Paul and legendary skater Lance Mountain below, and mark your calendars for their release on June 21st.
