With February only a few months away, heritage-celebrating sneakers are slowly unveiling themselves. Along with Nike’s Black History Month collection, the Swoosh also has plans to celebrate the Lunar New Year, which includes a new pair of Nike SB Dunk Lows.
Formerly thought to be titled the Nike SB Dunk Low “CNY”, official confirmation has cemented the pair to be a collaboration between Guangzhou artist Jason Deng and Nike SB. Inspired largely by Chinese cuisine, the “Street Hawker” is broken into two separate designs, one for each foot.
This collaborations brings forth various textures, prints, and colors of Chinese cuisine to life. Both sneakers display mismatching suedes and leather color schemes, with Chinese characters etched onto the heel and rear. Dashes of watercolor sit atop the multi-colored panels. Finished off with an icy-blue sole, look for this SB Dunk to be one of 2021’s most coveted sneakers.
The Jason Deng x Nike SB Dunk Low “Street Hawker” will debut on Nike SNKRS release on January 22, 2021. Until then, grab a look below and keep it locked to the Nike Dunk Release Page for further information.
