Nike’s latest Rawdacious color makeup — which primarily consists of white, with accents of “pink blast, total orange, and bright crimson — captures both the cultural and psychological value of their footwear collection.
In a return to sport and signaling new beginnings, the color set is a take on the term “Raw Audaciousness.” The primary white color symbolizes unity, comprising all of the other colors of the visible light spectrum. Other colors, which are bright and vivid, cause the eye to race across the bold silhouettes. Such silhouettes will be those related to Olympic sport.
“Color has the nuanced ability to invite both reaction and reflection at once,” says Martha Moore, Nike VP, Central Color Product Design. “You see a color, and you immediately react in a certain way. Color can also open the door to history, connections to other disciplines and to memory. In creating this year’s palette, we worked to consider color holistically to best represent a moment in time.”

The Nike Rawdacious series will release on several silhouettes throughout the summer during the Tokyo Olympics, including the Nike Zoom X Dragonfly, Nike Air Zoom Victory, Nike Air Zoom Maxfly, Nike Air Zoom Long Jump Elite, Nike ZoomX Vaporfly Next% 2, and Nike Air Zoom Alphafly Next %.
