As a longtime proponent for uplifting communities, Nike recognizes Puerto Rico and New York City as communities that have helped one another. Boricuas have had great influence on NYC and thus streetwear at large. The Nike 2022 Puerto Rico Collection not only celebrates the merging of the vibrant cultures, but honors the colorful architecture of San Juan, Puerto Rico. The collection features two versions of the Nike Air Force 1 Low Puerto Rico, as well as two different Puerto Rico-inspired polos.
Additionally, Nike will be dropping a short film on June 10th titled “Hot Takes,” featuring impassioned Puerto Ricans delivering their various viewpoints on the things at the place where they often connect… the table. Dishing their opinions on sports, food, family, fashion, NYC, and the Island – the film features Puerto Rican Track & Field athlete Jasmine Camacho Quinn and Paralympian athlete Nicky Nieves.
This collection further pushes Nike’s initiatives to support Hispanic and Latino youth. Each year Nike donates $625,000 to nonprofits that deliver programs and services to increase physical activity, education, career development, and contribute to stronger Latino communities.

Nike Air Force 1 Low Puerto Rico “Domino”
New York meets Puerto Rico on this Air Force 1 Low. The sneaker has an all-white leather upper with extra perforated details to mimic the small dots on dominos. The lace dubrae on the front of the sneaker also features a mini domino decoration. Dominos are a cherished activity that brings together the communities in NYC and San Juan. Light blue suede dresses the signature Nike Swoosh and heel tab which is finished with “Puerto Rico” branding. A black outsole and red Nike Air tongue complete the design.
Nike Air Force 1 Low Puerto Rico “San Juan”
This Nike Air Force 1 Low gets inspired by the vibrant architecture of San Juan and New York City. The color pallette finds influence from the San Juan buildings and hand-painted signs on NYC bodegas. Each shoe has its own unique color placement, but both shoes complement each other with shades of lavender, light blue, peach, coral, pink, red, and mint green. The sneaker is finished with a white midsole and black outsole.
