Did Nike Predict the College Football Playoff?

Ohio State made a statement win yesterday in the Big Ten conference championship shutting out Wisconsin 59-0.  With that win, they leaped forward in the college football rankings to take the all important #4 position to get into the first ever College Football Playoff.

Last week when Nike unveiled a set of four college Nike Hypercross Trainers, many had thought that Nike had made the wrong prediction picking to produce a Ohio State Buckeye pair instead of one in black and purple for the TCU Horned Frogs.  After it was all said and done after the committee met for the final time, it looks like Nike had the crystal ball by going with Ohio State.

It should also be noted that the first two teams out, Baylor and TCU, are both Nike schools.

On Wednesday, December 10th, the Nike Zoom Hypercross Trainer will release at NikeStore in four team editions that represent the four teams in the College Football Playoff.  Each is listed below with links to their respective place on the sneaker release dates page.
