The Nike N7 collection highlights and honors the athletes, creators, and cultural game-changers of the seven generations. As a commitment to Native American communities, the Nike N7 Summer 2022 Collection explores indigenous identity through basketball. Known as “Rez Ball,” the Native American people of the northern territories have merged their own cultural traditions with modern sport. The collection features the Nike Free Crater Trail Moc, the Nike Air Max 95 and the Nike Kyrie 5 Low.

Each pair from the collection marries warm neutrals with vibrant colors, creating a collection that feels joyful and earthy. The various uppers use a natural dying process that honors the tradition of the natural dye methods using berries. The Nike Free Crater Trail Moc and the Nike Air Max 95 have colorful ribbon details that nod to the traditional skirts and waving techniques used by indigenous women for ceremonies and other important events. While the Nike Kyrie 5 Low doesn’t have any ribbon details on the upper, the sneaker still incorporates the vibrant pastels and is finished with the N7 arrow graphic on the insole.

The apparel collection continues to celebrate Native American art and traditions with the N7 NSW Club Crew, N7 DNA Short, N7 NSW Max 90 Tee, and N7 NSW Jumpsuit. Vibrant pastels also dress the apparel and feature a collection motif saying, “In every deliberation we must consider the impact to the next seven generations.”

Additionally, Nike has partnered with Buffalo Nickel Creative to deliver a content series by a independently owned and operated Indigenous agency. Learn more about Native Americans connection to sport as Indigenous athletes and influencers discuss their culture and personal journeys. You can expect to see appearances from Sarain Fox, Michael Linklater, Lindy Waters III, Eli Ankou and Abby Roque.

This collection is just one part of Nike’s commitment to Native American and Indigenous communities. In 2009, Nike created the N7 Fund which has awarded more than $8 million in grants, administered by the Charities Aid Foundation of America, to more than 270 communities and organizations. Nike hopes that they can continue to deliver recognition, advocacy, inspiration, and education for the Seven Generations.
