Nike and the MLB have joined forces to design a series of baseball jerseys inspired by each team’s hometown as part of its City Connect Series.
Today, the duo has unveiled their collaborative jersey made for the Miami Marlins. Injected with the club’s personality, values, and customs, the kit arrives in a bold red color scheme, which pays tribute to the Latin American community, accented with contrasting white stripes. Strewn across the shirt is “Miami” branding in Little Havana’s iconic, hand-painted style, while the team badge and redesigned Sugar King’s patch are emblazoned on the sleeve caps.
Along with the Miami Marlins, six other clubs will also be included in the Nike MLB City Connect series: Arizona Diamondbacks, Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, and San Francisco Giants.
Look for each team jersey to revealed over the upcoming weeks. The Miami Marlins kit will release on May 21 via Nike.com/app, MLB Flagship store (NYC), mlbshop.com, and select retail locations.
