Nike continues to celebrate the Nike Air Max Plus after celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2023.
Earlier today, Paris Saint-Germain and French superstar Kylian Mbappé was spotted in training wearing an all-new Nike Mercurial Superfly 9 cleat, inspired by the classic Nike Air Max Plus “Voltage Purple” colorway, which released in 2018 for the 20th anniversary.
Like its muse, the cleat featured a gradient purple upper with vibrant orange accents and its signature black, web-like TPU cage. The cleat features “ZM” branding on the heel as a nod to the OG “TN” heel stamp.
The Nike Mercurial Superfly 9 FG “Voltage Purple” is rumored to release overseas on January 15, 2024, for $310 via select retailers. A stateside release is expected soon.
