After the highly coveted yet limited availability release of the Air Max 97 “Silver Bullet” produced in partnership with Swarovski, another original colorway of the beloved Air Max model is releasing with more than 50,000 crystals.
Very soon the Nike Air Max 97 “Metallic Gold” will release in tandem with Swarovski. Thousands of crystals will outfit the OG colorway throughout the piping, front foot and heel. Full-length Air remains a fixture with the sneaker, as does the mini red Swoosh and reflective detailing.
Release information surrounding the shoe is unknown at this time. Yet, if this pair is anything like its predecessor, pairs will be extremely limited.
Update 12/17: Nike today has officially revealed that its Air Max 97 “Metallic Gold” LX with Swarovski Crystals –which also highlights Swarovski’s proprietary Crystal Fabric — will release in limited numbers on December 26. Pricing has not yet been announced.
Update 12/19: Releasing on December 26 and priced at $400 USD, this Nike Air Max 97 LX will be available at select retailers including Solebox and END.
