With several NBA players choosing to pay homage to the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. via their kicks, Milwaukee Bucks guard Eric Bledsoe and Atlanta Hawks big man Dewayne Dedmon seized the opportunity on Monday by breaking out an all-new edition of the Nike LeBron Soldier 11. Both players wore a Black History Month iteration of the LeBron Solider 11 that paid tribute to former President Barack Obama’s first election victory in 2008.

Similar to other BHM styles, the Nike LeBron Soldier 11 BHM sports a Pan-African black, green and red colorway. Black however, is the primary color for this silhouette as green and red are featured along the ankle strap. Gold accents like on the Swoosh branding provides a nice pop of color. The date “11-4-2008,” which is in reference to Obama’s 2008 presidential victory, is also in gold.
