Nike LeBron 7 “Lakers” PE Sample Surfaces – Retail Release?

LeBron James showed up to NBA Media Day with a never before seen pair of “Lakers” Nike LeBron 7s. Similar to the LeBron 3 “Lakers” PE the shoes sport mismatched colors with a predominantly that flip the purple and gold. Unfortunately for Lakers fans and LeBron loyalists, the Laker colorups have not been made available – yet.

There does appear to be a chance, but we shouldn’t rush to judgment that there is a retail release coming quite yet.

Sneaker leaker @solebyjc recently posted on his Instagram a photo of what he referred to as a “first look” at the “Lakers” Nike LeBron 7, but there could be a reasonable explanation of why this pair is floating around. For starters, not all samples are indicative of a retail release, especially for LeBron.

The usual process by Nike Basketball will call for numerous rounds of development samples followed by color and material samples. Usually, brands don’t sample a player’s shoe size for the color samples as the larger sizes are more expensive to produce not to mention the added cost of shipping, logistics, etc of a shoe the size of your desk vs. the standard size 9 used internally at brands.

But, there is a chance.

This is the first time a smaller size has popped up, so one can only hope that this is a sales sample leading to a retail release. Whatever the case is, count on Nice Kicks to keep you posted on Instagram and on the Nice Kicks mobile app.
