Vanessa Bryant and Nike Basketball continue storytelling through the Nike Kobe line as a legendary speech by the Black Mamba inspires the upcoming Nike Kobe 4 Protro “Job’s Not Finished” colorway.

After a 2-0 lead in the 2009 NBA Finals over the Orlando Magic, a reporter asked Kobe Bryant why he wasn’t happy with the lead to which Bryant replied:

“What’s there to be happy about? Job’s not finished. Job finished? I don’t think so.”

The Los Angeles Lakers would lose Game 3 but bounce back as Kobe would secure this fourth NBA title by besting the Magic in games 4 and 5. Fittingly, he won in the Nike Kobe 4 which is the canvas for the latest story.

The Nike Kobe 4 Protro “Job’s Not Finished” features a nearly monochromatic look with a grey nubuck upper with a white midsole and pearlescent outsole. “Job’s Not Finished” is embroidered in cursive onto the medial left shoe and “Mamba Mentality” with the same treatment on the medial right shoe. Additionally, “24” and “8” branding is found on the heel.

A release date for the Nike Kobe 4 Protro “Job’s Not Finished” has not been announced. However, the pair is expected to release for $190 via SNKRS and select retailers as early as late 2024.
