Another classic Nike Kobe is returning next year as the 2024 Nike Kobe 4 Protro “Gold Medal” release will continue the Mamba’s signature shoe legacy.

The Nike Kobe 4 Protro “Gold Medal” will release in Fall 2024. The shoe first released in 2009 as an ode to Kobe Bryant and Team USA’s gold medal success in the 2008 Beijing Olympics with the renowned “Redeem Team.” The upcoming Protro will align with the 2024 Paris Olympics as Team USA will seek a gold medal once again with Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and others.

The upcoming Protro will feature the shoe’s signature metallic gold details, navy Flywire, tongue and Swoosh, red laces and Swoosh outlining and a split-colored midsole. Snakeskin texture on the toe box and heel are expected as well alongside the signature Kobe logo on the tongue in gold.

A release date has not been confirmed, but the pair is expected to release on August 5, 2024, $190 on SNKRS and select retailers.
