After his stellar season under Rick Barnes at the University of Texas, Durant opted for the 2007 draft where he would become the 2nd overall pick to the Seattle Supersonics. After an impressive rookie season, Durant garnered Rookie of the Year honors and solidified himself as being one of the best up-and-coming players in the game.
