Nike’s ISPA line which stands for Improvise, Scavenge, Protect, and Adapt pushes boundaries for design and innovation but takes an old-school approach to the Nike ISPA Drifter Split with a traditional Japanese indigo dying method on the sneaker.

The upper uses different suedes and meshes and is hand-dyed which results in each pair is unique in its dye patterns and saturation. The indigo dye is from Buaisou, which is cultivated and harvested by them in Tokushima Prefecture. Outside of the indigo dye, the standout feature is the tabi split toe as well as Shibori patterns all throughout the upper. ISPA branding is seen on the pulltabs as well as the lateral strap and the Swoosh is stitched in the lateral side of the toe. The midsole uses reused ZoomX foam for cushioning which can be seen in the forefoot and heel with a black outsole finishing off the sneaker.

The Nike ISPA Drifter Split “Indigo Dye” is set to drop exclusively on Nike Japan on August 30th for ?60,500, which converts roughly to $550. Each pair will be numbered and extremely limited. Check out the photos from Nike below.
