The Nike Dunk High Rebel “Cashmere” revisits 2018’s “The 1 Reimagined,” where 14 female designers at Nike were challenged to put a new spin on silhouettes from the 80’s. Each model was redesigned into five different styles known as the Rebel, Lover, Sage, Jester, and Explorer.
This offering of the Nike Dunk High Rebel shows out with vibrant colors that highlight the reconstruction of the silhouette. The upper has salmon colored leather, with baby blue and coral panels. The Nike Dunk High Rebel shows similarities to other modern renditions of Nike classics, the AF1 “Pixel” and AF1 “Shadow.” You can see notes of the AF1 “Shadow” on the double Swoosh and double ankle flaps. Meanwhile, the midsole shows resemblance to the AF1 “Pixel” with the jagged structure.
