Throughout 2021 we saw multiple sneakers with a vintage and aged aesthetic, including the Nike Dunk High “Acid Wash” pack. Even though this sneaker aesthetic hasn’t been a particularly popular one, it seems that it’s not going anywhere just yet as Nike announces the upcoming Nike Dunk High “Re-Raw.”
No matter how you feel about the idea of “aged” sneakers, we have to say that this Nike Dunk High happens to be one of the best iterations of the trend. Right away you can see the yellowing midsole that sets the tone for the aged aesthetic. While the yellowing midsole has been off-putting on other sneakers, the green hues on the upper allow for a cohesive color palette. The base is made with “Summit White” suede with a cracked finish that is paired with faded “Coriander” overlays. The tongue tab has a two-tone split design for additional detail. To complete the look, sage green appears on the signature Nike Swoosh and outsole.
