Día De Los Muertos, Day of the Dead, is a two-day long celebration in November that centers family as the living connect with the dead through ofrendas (altars), music, food, and other sentimental memories.
For the holiday, Nike has announced its all-new “Con Mi Familia” collection in celebration of Día De Los Muertos with the Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT 2, Nike Air Max 1, Nike Dunk Low WMNS and the Nike Blazer Mid ’77. All four silhouettes embody different emotions from the stages of grief, such as sorrow and longing to love and connection. Additionally, each shoe features a significant design element tied to the holiday, including the moon, a marigold and a hummingbird graphic (representative of souls trying to reconnect with the living).
The Nike “Con Mi Familia” collection releases on October 21 on SNKRS and select retailers.
