Nike honors Mexican wrestling with the Nike Blazer Mid “Lucha Libre.” This sneaker completes the “Lucha Libre” shoe pack, which also features a Nike Air Max 90 and a Nike Air Force 1 Low.
This addition to the “Lucha Libre” pack celebrates the 150-year-old tradition with jewel-toned nylon in Emerald Green and snakeskin overlays. Compared to the rest of the collection, this sneaker pays homage to Luchadors in a more lowkey fashion, as it doesn’t offer any notable details that mention Lucha Libre. The materials used to make this sneaker are typically seen on a Luchador’s mask, with the Gold Nike Swoosh honoring the bodysuits that the Luchadors wear. On the inside of the sneaker, the insole is printed with “Lucha Libre” branding in a vintage cursive font.
