The end of the year in sneaker culture isn’t typically about new silhouettes. More often than not, brands re-release their hallmark looks, new collaborations, or just mail it in until the first quarter of the new year.

Not Nike.

Admirably, they’re still releasing budding silhouettes deep into December.

Take for instance the Nike Air Max Dia. Pull from both modern Swoosh DNA and past Air Max heritage alike, a translucent upper borrows from both the Element React and Zoom Fly while its midsole takes liberally from the Air Max 90. Synthetic overlays and pull tabs at both the tongue and heel punctuate the colorway and lightweight style.

This quickstrike release will help debut the Nike Air Max Dia SE Pack ($120) very soon at select boutiques including Feature.

Update 12/11: Nike has officially revealed its women’s focused Air Max Dia. Conceptualized in a tapered toe box with a deconstructed translucent Nexkin upper, the shoe’s stacked height is meant to both add depth and crystalize the importance of the Air unit. The translucent upper, too, is meant to lend credence to the creativity of sock choice.

Look for the Nike Air Max Dia on the Nike app on December 13. A wider launch is scheduled for January 25.
