This Nike Air Max 97 Commemorates “Hangul Day” In South Korea

Alongside the Nike Air Max 1, the Swoosh is celebrating “Hangul Day” in South Korea, which commemorates the invention of the Korean language by King Sejong, with a Nike Air Max 97 for the commemorative holiday.

The sneaker features a black upper and overlays, using different materials throughout with cream accenting throughout the sneaker. Like the AM1, a toggle lacing system is utilized with the Swoosh appearing on the tongue tag and on the medial and lateral sides, with the lateral side featuring a clear overlay of “???” which is Nike in Korean. The Sail midsole also features a no-bubble look, with the Air Max unit not being transparent and a translucent outsole finishing off the sneaker.

The Nike Air Max 97 PRM “Hangul Day” is set to drop on October 6th exclusively in Asia via SNKRS and at select retailers. Check out the official photos below and for all the latest drop dates, head over to our Sneaker Release Dates page.
