Earlier this month Nike introduced us to an Air Max 95 covered in koi scales. Now it looks like the koi fish, known as Nishikigoi, will be a running theme as the same scale details have now surfaced on an Air Max 97.
Inspired by Japanese culture, this upcoming Nike Air Max 97 boasts golden hues throughout its wavy overlays constructed of mesh, leathery and suede, while the scale patterns of a koi fish are present on the mid-panel and insoles. Rounding out the final design cues are the 3M reflective details and the milky transparent outsole.
