Nike is set to drop an Air Max 97 before the year is out featuring subtly colorful construction. With lots of little details around the uppers & soles, this pair is truly one for the well-trained eye. You know we’ll be going over all of the fine details, so read on and check out what we uncover.

At first glance the shoes are made from a Grey upper, though on closer inspection there are many unique aspects. Around the upper is a mixture of reflective material and corduroy, detailed by subtle multicolor hits in places. Aside from the midsole pods, the eye stays and heel tab are dressed in the same spectrum inspired color scheme. The Swoosh tongue label has a similar look, more inspired by TV Color Bars giving the pair a retro feel. The blue swoosh on the corduroy side panels is outlined in a golden thread. The outer midsole is dipped in white while the outsole is constructed from a Black & Grey patterned mix. On the insoles the retro-vibe continues with a series of Air Max logos through the years feature.

While we aren’t certain of a release date, it’s expected that the pair will land sometime this month. Big fans of the understated nature of the pair, Nike has composed this pair very well. They’re slated to retail for $170 and will drop at Nike as well as select retailers soon, so be ready!
