Nike is set to pay homage to baseball great Ken Griffey Jr. with an upcoming sneaker range. As part of the release, the Swoosh will be dropping an Air Max 90 “Griffey” injected with baseball details.
The pair arrives in the same color scheme as the Air Griffey Max 1 and features a white and grey construction accented with navy blue eyestays, inner liner, and mudguards. Elsewhere black Swoosh insignias are seen on the profiles while red appears on the toe box. Elevating the sneaker’s overall look is a reversed baseball cap graphic with the number 24 featured on the tongues and insoles, along with baseball stitching found around the collar.
Interested readers will be able to purchase the Nike Air Max 90 “Griffey” when they release at select retailers and Nike.com in the upcoming weeks.
