Nike is bringing back the annual Air Max series after shelving it for a few years and is set to drop the Nike Air Max 2021 later this summer.
The new silhouette is made up of at least 20% of recycled materials and utilizes multi-layered mesh on the upper. The sneaker comes in different shades of lilac, with Fuse overlays seen around the toe and exaggerated overlays on the laces and pulltab. The Swoosh on the lateral side comes in Obsidian with the lateral side featuring an overlay with perforation for breathability and Nike Air Max branding. The midsole uses a cored-out design for the large volt Air Max unit in the heel to expand for a cushy and comfortable ride and Obsidian is seen again on the Waffle-inspired outsole.
