In celebration of New York City’s annual Puerto Rico Day, Nike is set to launch the Nike Air Max 1 Puerto Rico “Orange Frost.” This pair will be releasing alongside a “Blue Gale” iteration.
Inspired by Puerto Rican snow cones known as “piraguas,” the Nike Air Max 1 Puerto Rico “Orange Frost” takes after mouth-watering flavors like coco (coconut), parcha (passionfruit), and piña (pineapple).
The sneaker is made with a combination of leather and suede materials in shades of “Orange Frost,” “Citron Pulse,” and “Coconut Milk.” Notable design elements include Jewel Swooshes, lace dubraes with “Puerto Rico” branding, special piragua-inspired tongue labels, and “Puerto Rico” embroidery on the right heel tab. The sneakers will be presented in special packaging and accompanied by an exclusive towel in honor of the annual celebration.
