The Nike Air Max 1 “Blue Gale” for Puerto Rico Releases This Month

To celebrate the vibrant culture and heritage of Puerto Rico, Nike is dropping a special-edition Air Max 1 Puerto Rico “Blue Gale”.

The upcoming Nike Air Max 1 Puerto Rico “Blue Gale” is expected to drop sometime in June, which is when Puerto Rico Day is celebrated in the United States along Fifth Avenue in New York City.

The pair boasts design cues inspired by the iconic elements associated with the country such as the frozen treat (helados) known as “piraguas” that come in many different flavors such as coco (coconut), parcha (passionfruit), and piña (pineapple). This is additionally seen via the special ice cream tongue labels and shoe box. The pair, which is constructed from a mix of textile, leather, and suede, is further elevated with icy blue jewel Swooshes, “Puerto Rico” lace dubraes, and “Puerto Rico” embroidered on the left heel.
