Spooky season is approaching and for Dia de Los Muertos, Nike presents the Nike Air Force 1 x Familia “Redstone.” The annual Mexican heritage holiday celebrates life and death with lush marigolds, vibrant sugar skulls, and other traditional elements such as ofrendas.
Right away you can see the influence of the marigolds on this Nike Air Force 1 Low as the Nike Swoosh is dressed in yellow-orange and green chenille. The base of the sneaker is made with clay-colored suede and canvas. The heel tab features cracked blue leather and is stamped with Nike branding. The tongue tags also have Nike branding, with one sneaker showcasing a “We Are Familia” patch. The insoles are finished with tri-color font and additional Familia branding.
