The Nike Air Foamposite One was designed for the basketball courts and was later adopted by the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia area as a cultural piece of footwear. Since then, the Foamposite has released in a plethora of colorways, each being uniquely embraced by the DMV community.
The Swoosh is doubling down on the Foam and its ties to the DMV as it patterns with Social Status and its newly-opened Baltimore store and A Ma Maniére‘s D.C. storefront to release the third and final Nike Air Foamposite One “Dream A World” colorway, exclsuive for the area.
The colorway draws from renowned Black poet and social activist Langston Hughes’ “I Dream A World” poem. The upcoming DMV-exclusive colorway features a sepia stone and metallic silver base complemented with a gum outsole along with special messaging included on both the insole and box: “Luck/Success Happens When Preparation Meets Opportunity.”
The Nike Air Foamposite One “Dream A World” releases on August 12, 2023, online at Socialstatuspgh.com and amamaniere.com and in-store at Social Status Baltimore and A Ma Maniére DC at noon EST. Both retailers will be offering Local Priority Access starting on August 7 through August 10 at Social Status Baltimore and A Ma Maniére DC, prioritizing the DMV community.
