Nike is bringing back a relic as the OG Nike Air Flightposite “Metallic Gold” is releasing in 2024 as confirmed by SNKRS Showcase.

Originally released in 1999, the Air Flightposite followed the revolutionary Nike Air Foamposite One as Nike Basketball and Eric Avar were determined to innovate the performance footwear industry.

Much like the Foamposite, the Flightposite carried synonymous design language as the Foamposite with its blow-molded composite upper. However, the Flightposite was sleeker and optimized to fit better to one’s foot. The Flightposite also included a neoprene sleeve that was paired with a full-length zipper.

The Nike Air Flightposite was one of the many Nike Alpha Project members that not only set the industry ablaze but was remembered for what it delivered as Kevin Garnett, Tim Duncan and sneaker culture as a whole embraced the Air Flightposite.

The Nike Air Flightposite “Metallic Gold” releases during Holiday 2024 for $240 via SNKRS and select retailers.
