words // Darren Griffin:
Much like the revival of the Air Pippen series and several others before it, Nike has again canvassed their signature archives to return the Diamond Turf line. Made famous, of course, by Deion Sanders, today we take a first look at the all-new Nike Air Diamond Turf 6. Remaining true to many of the core principles that ensured the line’s popularity in the 90s, the cross trainer highlights an imposing base with a synthetic and mesh blend throughout. A midfoot strap splits the shoe in half at its center, while Flywire cables ensure that the latest Swoosh tech finds placement on this nostalgic signature line. To finish, the rear showcases Nike script while a customary Air Max sole unit is also noted. Priced at $140, this Black/Chilling Red colorway is available now at select retailers including VILLA.
