If you’re planning to spend your summer going on coffee runs, making copies, and wondering if you’re ever going to get that bag, there is hope for you.

Darius Bazley, an 18-year old once committed to hoop at Syracuse changed the game when he decided to head straight into the NBA G League.

However, New Balance had other plans. The quality over quantity company has offered Bazley $200,000 over the next five years to make him the company’s first million-dollar intern. If Bazley is drafted into the NBA, his contract still stays intact.

Already working with the brand, New Balance wanted to show how much Bazley means to them by giving us the New Balance 997 “The Intern” shoe and backpack set.

Sporting a patriotic color scheme with tan accents and “The Intern” stamped on the heel counters, this New Balance 997 is perfect for that long 9-5 work day.

Check out the images below for an on-foot look.
