New Balance Sets The Focus On Sustainability With The MADE Responsibly 998

New Balance reveals the second lineup of the MADE Responsibly program, set to feature three New Balance 998 silhouettes.

As part of New Balance’s sustainable efforts, the program uses surplus and new materials creating one-of-a-kind pairs. Each product varies so that no two pairs are exactly the same. Mixed surplus materials are found on the pigskin overlays, mesh body, lining, laces, speedlace, molded collar straps, and sole units. New materials are found on the inner linings, the foams, counter, and box toe.

John Timulty, the Product Manager of MADE footwear had this to say, “New Balance remains committed to high-quality craftsmanship and making every piece of the material count. Our designers created a color palette that is both creative and aesthetically pleasing, which resulted in a MADE Responsibly 998 style that is truly one-of-a-kind.”

However, New Balance will release a limited pair of the MADE Responsibly 998. Releasing on May 1, for $180 at New Balance. In the meantime, take a look at the latest images below.
