New Balance athlete and LA Clippers baller Kawhi Leonard has officially unveiled his latest signature shoe, the KAWHI III. Kawhi wore the new sneaker last night on-court in a nail-biting game against the Milwaukee Bucks at the Fiserv Forum in Wisconsin.
The KAWHI III will be debuting in the “Alpha Predator” colorway with a Grey lightweight knit upper that features a seamless half-bootie that connects to the tongue. The method is also utilized at the heel with a sculpted detail that offers a natural and responsive sense of support compared to standard stitching.
New Balance and Kawhi continue to advance their offerings as the KAWHI III is the first basketball sneaker to have Energy Arc technology. The sneaker sits atop a full-length FuelCell cushioning system with Energy Arc that offers a propulsive energy return feeling, designed to react to the game’s split-second changes. The base of the shoe contains a carbon fiber arc plate to enhance the quickness of the first step.
This game changing technology was developed by the New Balance design team with the brand’s state-of-the-art Sports Research Lab and has been seen across the award winning FuelCell Super Comp Trainer and Coco Gauff’s signature, the Coco CG1.
This season, together with the New Balance design team we decided to tell stories that tap into how I think and attack on the court. So every colorway of the KAWHI III taps into that thinking.
