But now the New Balance 996 is taking on a refined new design, one that sees a reengineered stance based in modernism, comfort and breathability. Aesthetically, the biggest difference is the color-blocked, two-tone base that in this case comes in a blue suede rear with an engineered mesh grey front foot with a perforated toe.
