Considering the New Balance 2002R is continuing to grow in popularity, it was only a matter of time before we saw a weatherproof version of the silhouette. But before the sneaker gears up for frosty Boston winters, the New Balance 2002R GORE-TEX will be making its debut in Japan.
Rain or shine, this New Balance 2002R has all the bases covered in functionality and style. The upper is crafted with stormy grey suede that has a blue undertone to it. The toebox and quarters feature a similar stormy-blue mesh. The signature New Balance “N” opts for light grey, which corresponds with the accent overlays. The outsole has a weathered appearance to pair nicely with the brushed suede on the upper.
