Much like the “Connoisseur” offerings that dominated many a New Balance release in 2014, this year the American footwear brand looks to a musical muse for its inspiration. A guitar theme is noted as the brands focal point this year, and we’re already beginning to see iterations crafted in that vein. The New Balance 1400 “Guitar Pack” offers a very distinct color palette, utilizing a burnt yellow hue coupled with black offsets at the “N” logo and heel counter. Possibly reminiscent of the Fender Telecaster series, which takes on a similar color pairing yet with the usage of wood in lieu of nubuck and mesh, the shoe is finished with a white midsole and of course, your very own guitar pick.
