photo via KixclusiveEasy Otabor: “I used to work at Athlete’s Foot from when I was 16 to maybe when I was 21, on and off. When I was at college, my old store got them and I told them they had to save me a pair because I’d been working there for years. [Laughs] So, I drove all the way back from Northern Illinois to Chicago to pick this pack up. It was crazy. People were getting robbed and fighting for them, so I had to pull up in the back and they had to throw them in a black bag. At college, nobody had them. I’ve kept them pretty clean since. I was really into the 11s too, but I think my aesthetic changed. The 11s will always be my first love because my brother got me into collecting shoes, but what I wear now doesn’t really go with the 11s.”
