There was a moment in the not-so-distant past when New Balance was undeniably down. The American footwear brand was reeling from stagnation and, surprisingly for sneakers, poor political press.
Yet the tide has turned and New Balance is back in the swing of things. Creativity seems to follow that wave of good fortune.
In their latest collaborative effort with mita sneakers and Whiz Limited, they’ve offered up the MS 574V2 for which its two partnering entities have completely reimagined. Outfitting the shoe in open-cell polyurethane technology with variations of mesh and nylon, the “N” logo appears in reflective 3M on-trend shades of black and royal.
Reflective piping lines the shoe to aid in greater visibility and aesthetic pleasure. The upgrades continue with a gear-tread outsole and multi-colored pull tabs at the heel.
Look for the mita x Whiz Limited x New Balance MS 574V2 on April 13 at mita sneakers for $140 USD.
