Just as his former college was set to take the field in this year’s Cotton Bowl, Wisconsin Badger alumni and retired NBA All-Star Michael Finley shared a look at his latest pair of rare Air on Twitter.
Styled in metallic gold patent leather atop a translucent red outsole, “Fin Dog’s” PE of the iconic Air Jordan XI is certainly more flashy than the model’s original and most recognizable understated hues.
Presumably made in size 15 just for Finley, the pair’s timing coincides with other PE cameos from the likes of fellow Jordan-sponsored athletes. Just last week, Andre Johnson shared a look at his own custom pair, a green and orange XI honoring his Miami Hurricanes.
As always, we’ll keep you posted on all upcoming Jordan release dates, but for now, it’s safe to assume this colorway will remain a player exclusive just for Finley.
